About the property
Tucked away in the corner of a small quiet rural holiday park near the village of St Mabyn, this lodge offers comfortable accommodation in a good touring location with Bodmin moor, Wadebridge, Padstow, Port Isaac (Port Wenn of Doc Martin fame), and the beaches of Polzeath and Rock all within a short drive. This lodge would suite people looking to escape the holiday crowds.
You approach the lodge passing through the park to the far corner where you enter the lodge into the open plan living room with a kitchen, dining and sitting areas leading out to the terrace, an ideal spot to relax or enjoy al fresco dining after a day on the beach. There are two bedrooms here, a double with en-suite toilet and a twin along with a family bathroom. Less than a mile from the park is the St Mabyn Inn, listed in the good pub guide and popular with locals who enjoy a fine choice of locally sourced food and a good selection of local ales.Close by are many more moorland and village pubs all with their own individual character and most welcoming, offering refreshment after a good hike. With the stunning and rugged north Cornwall coast all close to hand you will have many touring options offering lots of villages and coves to explore before returning to the tranquillity of the lodge.
A Note From The Owner
We hope you enjoy your stay at 2 The Beeches. If you are keen on coastal walks, the coast path between Rock and Polzeath via Daymer Bay is relatively easy going and has wonderful views over the Camel estuary. The foot ferry from Rock to Padstow gives easy access to Padstow and the opposite coast path without the long drive. There are many wonderful places to eat in the area including the St Kew Inn and the Oyster Catcher in Polzeath. The central position of the park also gives easy access to the south coast, Fowey being a favourite spot for eating and browsing the gift shops and with ferry access to Mevagissey.
