- Fire detection systems, such as hardwired smoke or heat detectors, must be installed in properties. It is advised that smoke detectors have a battery backup and be mains connected.
- It is legally required to get a gas safety certificate and conduct annual gas safety inspections.
- Firefighting supplies should be available if you have employees or if they often visit the property. While using firefighting equipment is not required of visitors, you might want to have a small multipurpose fire extinguisher and/or fire blanket in the cooking area.
